An imaginative and thrilling game which features a likeable hero, Microgaming’s new Peek-a-Boo slot is set in the world of ghost-hunting and has a terrifyingly high number of ways to win.

Peek-a-Boo has five reels and 40 paylines and can be played from just 40p per spin. The star of the show is the pint-sized child ghostbuster, who zaps the ghouls with his ray gun. When he appears on reel three and starts shooting the baddies, the ghost meter on the right-hand side of the screen will start to go up and soon the first bonus feature will be activated, giving you between 10 and 13 free spins and increasing the number of paylines to an astonishing 1,024.

Another great feature is how reels four and five will respin if you get a three symbol win to create more winning chances, or reel five will respin if you get a four symbol win. There are also stacked wilds in this feature to open up the possibility of some massive payouts.

The graphics are generally not as breath-taking as on on some of Microgaming’s other slots, but the column on the right for the ghost meter is a nice touch, the ghosts are good and the kid with the ray gun is a lot of fun. Otherwise, the design is lacking in originality and the assortment of liquorice allsorts and wine gums don’t add much to proceedings, while the soundtrack does nothing to really enhance the eerie atmosphere of the game.
