Microgaming Pays its Biggest Ever Mobile Casino Win

A Canadian player has claimed software supplier Microgaming’s biggest ever mobile casino win after banking CA$7.5 million (£4 million) on the Mega Moolah progressive slot. The gamer had only been playing at the casino for seven days before he became the first player to hit the game’s jackpot since November 2014.
The winner, known as Mark A, could have taken the full jackpot, paid in instalments over a number of years, but instead chose to accept a lower amount as a cash lump sum. Mega Moolah uses sterling as a base, with players paid the same figure whatever their local currency. Had a UK player hit the jackpot, they would have pocketed £7.5 million and, as such, the progressive total reset to £3.4 million rather than the usual £1 million.
Head of Casino for Microgaming, John Quinn, explained that the fact Mark A won on a mobile device was “a sign of today’s industry and how prevalent mobile is”, before adding “congratulations to Mark A. on becoming one of the biggest jackpot winners in Microgaming’s history.”
