Microgaming Reaches Agreement for Tarzan Online Slot

Online slots fans can look forward to an exciting new game this winter after Microgaming signed a deal to hold exclusive rights to create new titles based on the Tarzan brand. The agreement has been reached with Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc., which owns the brand, and will see the famous character reach a whole new audience.

Burroughs first created the character of Tarzan for his novel Tarzan of the Apes more than a century ago, and the story of the boy raised in the wild who becomes a jungle hero is known and loved throughout the world. The new Hollywood movie, The Legend of Tarzan, has revived interest in the adventure tale and Microgaming is excited about obtaining the rights.

A new game, which will be available on both mobile and desktop, is already in development. It is set to include Jane Porter, the love of Tarzan’s life, her father Archimedes and a host of other jungle characters. It will also have lots of fun features and a distinctive soundtrack, including the iconic Tarzan yell.

Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, believes the game is shaping up to be something pretty special. He said: “Tarzan is recognised the world over, so we’re excited to be launching a slot hosted by this timeless character. Our highly talented games team relish working with a new brand, to build a game that celebrates and embraces it. Having seen the game in prototype, I can honestly say the online slot will not disappoint Tarzan fans; operators and their players can look forward to the game’s release this winter.”

James Sullos, the president of Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc., is also confident the new game will be a huge success. The new game is set to be launched in the next few months and will continue Microgaming’s tradition of bringing out fun new releases.
